Last year, a group of indigenous organisations teamed up to create the Northern Australia Aboriginal Kakadu Plum Alliance (NAAKPA). Its members are spread out across the north, from the Kimberley coast near Broome to Maningrida in Arnhem Land.

By working together, they hope to improve the supply of Kakadu plums to customers and create a significant industry. In Darwin for an Alliance meeting, ABC Rural spoke to NAAKPA members Leila Nimbadja from Maningrida and Pat Torres from Broome.
