Djilanydjin Native Tea Leaves - Sleepy Tea

Djilanydjin Native Tea Leaves - Sleepy Tea

$30.00Price

DJILANYDJIN ( Djugun Language) or JILUNGIN or (Terminalia canescens) Native Tea is wild harvested and sun-dried for your enjoyment.

*OUR SPECIALTY TEA - The Djilanydjin plant is found only in remote areas of the Northern Kimberely and Northern Territory. In order for our business to harvest this plant sustainably, grown in the wild away from any chemicals, we can only harvest from a few very remote places. We want to be completly transparent about the cost of this native tea and inform you as to why our prices are higher than our normal mix native tea. All our prices have had to reflect our travel and harvesting cost.

Traditionally used as a medicine by Indigenous people for years the sap, bark & leaves may assist in a restful sleep for the body. With our Djilanydjin native tea we harvets and dry only the leaves for a loose leaf tea infusion. Our  native tea is treated as a relaxation tonic and  best taken in the evening before bed, and may help with a deep relaxing sleep.

How to use:

1. Boil water in your tea kettle.

2. While waiting for water to boil, add the appropriate amount of loose leaf tea to your tea infuser. Place the tea infuser inside your teapot or mug.

3. When the water reaches the desired temperature, pour it over the tea infuser into your mug or teapot. This will allow the water to circulate through the leaves. 4. Time your tea. Once the time is up, dunk the infuser a couple of times to circulate the water. Remove the infuser and set aside for a second steeping.

5. Serve in your favorite mug.

Tip: when resteeping your tea, add another minute to the steep time, this is because the tea needs longer to draw out the flavor
